What Dakota fights for
Dakota is focused on the issues that determine whether people can raise families in Utah for the long term. Putting real people over politics and rhetoric.
-
After making more than 70 offers before finding a home, Dakota knows firsthand how difficult it is for young families to put down roots in our district. This challenge is especially real for families connected to Hill Air Force Base, who are often asked to move quickly into a housing market that isn’t built for them.
Housing should be within reach for the people who work here. That means expanding housing options without shifting costs onto cities or families.
-
From groceries to utilities to healthcare, the cost of living is rising faster than wages. We need practical solutions that reflect economic reality and to stop shifting costs onto the people least able to afford them - regular working people. Working to create a more affordable Utah and preserving the American Dream for the next generation should be a priority for our legislature.
-
From our military families to teachers, firefighters, and police, our district is shaped by service. Cities understand their communities best. Dakota will work to ensure the Legislature partners with local leaders and gives communities the flexibility they need to solve problems responsibly, especially in a district centered around defense, public service, and essential work.
-
Utah’s outdoors are part of who we are. Our mountains, lakes, canyons, and air are essential to our economy and quality of life. Responsible stewardship ensures future generations can enjoy the same opportunities we have today. Restoring the Great Salt Lake and protecting our public lands is critical for conserving what makes Utah an incredible place to live.
